A TOTAL IGNORER: A Biography

A biography of a man of bravery named Melvin Asirot Aquino

He experienced the wrongness of the world yet managed to be righteous. Imagine life as an examination filled with hurtful questions, can you pass your examination without changing yourself into a wrongful person? Because this guy had passed four obstacles of his life that most of us can’t imagine going through those obstacles. Not everyone can be like him, and I guess not everyone wants to be like him.

Melvin Asirot Aquino, “Vin”, or “Long Neck”, he is the one I am pertaining to. He is a 19-year old bisexual individual who was born on June 3, 1998 at San Mateo, Rizal but now living at Brgy. Calancuasan Sur, Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija.

As I said earlier, he is a man who passed four obstacles that most of us can’t even imagine how to handle it. First, his family were forced to move from San Mateo, Rizal to Calancuasan Sur, Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija due to his father’s loss of job. Second, at a very young age of 10, his father died and due to that death, the third one of his obstacles came and that is he was forced to stop schooling for 3 years straight. Last, at 14 years old, he saw his auntie covered in blood because her auntie was killed. He suffered in many things at the young stages of his life but despite of those tests, he managed to be righteous. Why do I say so? Because he is a man of humility and kindness as if there is no unjust experiences that happened to him. If you will ask him if rules are meant to be followed or broken, he would answer “followed” and it is admiring because not everyone can be as righteous as he is if they suffered the same experience as his. Another is that if you will ask him of what are his significant events in his life, he would answer “birthdays” and when you’ll ask him, “Why?” he’ll just casually answer, “Gift from God.”

Not everyone can be like him and not everyone wants to experience what he had experienced. Not everyone can ignore those kinds of unjust situations in their life and continue living in righteousness. Melvin’s life is a great inspiration to all of us. It will teach us how to choose what is right even if our experiences tell us to choose what is wrong.
